This website and incorporated internet booking engine is owned and operated by Jet Asia Airways Company Ltd (the airline); the registered office is at Level 36, The 9th Towers (Tower A) 33/4 Rama IX Road, Huaykwang, Bangkok 10310 Thailand.

Privacy is very important to Jet Asia Airways for both Passengers and Commercial Partners. Therefore the airline has established the following Privacy Policy for its handling and protection of personal passenger information obtained either directly from Passengers or through our website; www.flyjetasia.com, or other channels such as  Social Media, Mobile devices, Ticketing & Check-In Counters or authorised representatives (e.g.) Travel Agents, and publicly available sources. The policy is specifically designed to protect this data from unauthorised access and usage.

1. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) & Statistical Data - Collection & Usage.

Jet Asia Airways collects two categories of data when a Passenger or Customer uses the airline’s services; Personally Identifiable Information (PII) & Statistical Data, this information is collected for the purpose of facilitating air travel arrangements and/or  to conduct marketing activities.

A.Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

i. This is individual data including Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Passport Number, Contact Address, e-mail Address, Telephone Number & Mobile Number.

ii. Payment Information; Credit or Debit Card information, including the Name of Cardholder, Card number & Expiry Date.

iii. Travel Information; Flight Itinerary information, dietary, seating or other service preferences.

iv. Health information; Medical Records (if necessary to facilitate travel).

B. Statistical Data

Statistical data is collected for analytical purposes, to better understand the profile of our passengers. This information is not be stored on individual customer records and is entirely anonymous.

The airline may transfer a Passenger’s PII to our overseas offices or to third parties such as Government, Immigration, Security, and Airport authorities for the provision of certain services such as enabling passengers to book flights, validate payments online, handle special requests facilitate air travel.

Jet Asia Airways routinely transfers part or all of our Passenger PII data to overseas data storage facilities where records are centralised.  Such transfers are necessary for the airline to fulfil contractual obligations for Passenger air travel.

2. Security Protocols.

Jet Asia Airways implements robust security protocols to ensure that airline employees protect the PII of our passengers, including proper supervision of outside service providers.

When flights are booked and purchased online on Jet Asia Airways, a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption is used to secure the information sent via www.flyjetasia.com. SSL is an industry standard external to the airline, as such the airline provides no guarantee and accepts no-liability in respect of the strength or effectiveness of SSL encryption and is not responsible for events arising from unauthorised access of the information provided.

3. Cookie Policy.

The www.flyjetasia.com website uses cookies to enhance the online experience. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are transferred to a computer’s hard drive from the web browser to recognize passenger preferences and to tailor content specifically for them. The cookies do not contain PII data but only behavioural data of the device which is completely anonymous. Cookies may be disabled by the user.

4. Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) & Disclosure in Exceptional Circumstances.

Jet Asia Airways will not disclose PII data to any third parties without Passenger consent, subject to the following exceptions.

The airline may be required to disclose PII data under certain Exceptional Circumstances which are as follows:

i. For Customs, Immigration & Quarantine purposes to the appropriate Government Department or Airport Authority. Please note that the initial recipients of such information may share PII data with other government agencies or enforcement authorities.?

ii. To Law Enforcement authorities to prevent a threat to life or health, reasonably necessary to enforce legal regulations, or necessary to investigate suspected unlawful activity. 

iii. To law enforcement agencies and governments for security reasons related to passenger safety and safe operation of an aircraft.

iv. PII data in connection with an investigation of a breach of contract, suspicion of fraudulent activities or contravention of the law.

5. Consent to Provide of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) & Opt-In Policy.

Whenever there is a need for Jet Asia Airways to perform a Passenger service, for example on-line booking and purchase it will require PII data passenger consent. Ticking of the box Accept Terms of Carriage and Privacy Policy will indicate that Passenger agrees to the airline policies and practises as outlined here.

6. Data Retention Policy.

Jet Asia Airways will retain your PII data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by relevant laws.

Legal Jurisdiction

If there is any legal challenge to this Privacy Policy the dispute will be adjudicated subject to applicable laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. 

Modifications to Privacy Policy

Jet Asia Airways reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time, if and when the business or legal requirements change.The content presented here is the latest version. Last Modified: 15 February 2015
